Nutrition and Food Services

We provide a wide range of services for UCSF patients, their families and friends, and for UCSF employees, learners, and visitors. These services include nutrition care for our hospitalized patients and those seen in our outpatient clinics, food for patients who are on complex modified diets, 3 cafes and 4 other retail food outlets that serve more than one million customers per year, and high quality catering services for UCSF Health and the campus. The department also sponsors an accredited dietetic internship, which has trained dietitians since 1936.
