The day-long meeting at the UCSF Mission Bay campus is one segment of a 24-hour around-the-globe event to be live-streamed from Sydney, Hanoi, London and San Francisco. The UCSF/Curry program will begin at 8:30 am PST (with live-streaming of the London closing session beginning at 7:00 am). The event will feature keynote talks and panel discussions by international leaders in TB research, policy, and clinical and programmatic practice.

In partnership with the SFDPH TB Control Program, the UCSF Center for Tuberculosis and CITC will co-sponsor the “lighting” of San Francisco City Hall red for World TB day, joining the annual global campaign to increase awareness for TB.

Policy  session - Drs. Eric Goosby and Mike Reid  post-UN High-Level Meeting on TB progress & actions.

TB research session - Drs. Nahid and Patrick Phillips TB immunology & issues of hetero-resistance.

Clinical/programmatic session - Drs. Chen and Phil Hopewell features CITC’s first medical director, Dr. Chuck Daley, discussing the new BPaL regimen, as well as speakers from CDPH and the private sector 

Panel of former and current TB controllers- lessons learned & aspirations to achieve TB elimination.
