University of California San Francisco Give to UCSF

World Hemophilia Day is April 17th.   It is a day dedicated to raising awareness about hemophilia and other bleeding disorder, and to support those who are affected by them. Hemophilia is a rare genetic disorder where the blood does not clot properly, putting patients at risk for a wide range of bleeding, some of them life-threatening and others that lead to chronic tissue damage. The day serves as an opportunity to educate people about hemophilia and other bleeding disorders, advocate for better treatment and care, and support research efforts aimed at finding a cure.
