What strategies do people use when they’re going through challenging professional transitions? How can future leaders gain insight and build influence to support their visions within organizations? Where can you find mentors, colleagues and potential sponsors in a low stress environment where everyone is there to support each other?
Join OCPD for thought provoking conversations with inspirational alumni on what elements underpin successful professional transitions. Hear from a nationally recognized Associate Dean of Strategic Initiatives & Innovations about actionable strategies that you can use to build influence within your organization. Connect with potential collaborators or start building relationships with potential mentors or sponsors within the UCSF community all while enjoying dinner and drinks in a casual environment at our Mixer.
All these experiences can be yours at the next Women’s Career Advancement Symposium. Come explore the many ways that women can better position themselves to advance and thrive in their careers.
The Women's Career Advancement Symposium was created as a direct result of UCSF female students and alumni asking OCPD for more help with these types of questions. However we recognize that everyone can benefit from learning more about strategically managing transitions and how to build sociopolitical intelligence to get a seat at the table. Therefore all UCSF students, postdocs, alumni and faculty of any gender identity are warmly invited to participate in the symposium
Note: Lunch/Dinner will be provided but registration is required. (Must register separately for each session. Click event titles to be directed to registration pages.)
