Join the UCSF Health IT Anti-Racism Committee (ARC) as we host our December Speaker Series with a discussion about racial discrimination and harrassment an overview from our own CARE Advocate Kendra Hypolite.  

About Kendra:

Kendra Hypolite, (she/her) is a passionate social worker and program manager. As the inaugural CARE Advocate for Racial Justice, she supports UCSF affiliates who have experiences discrimination and harassment due to their race, ethnicity, or national origin. Throughout her career, she has focused on advocating for reproductive justice, serving the LGBTQ communities, and supporting historically excluded and marginalized students, faculty, and staff. Before joining UCSF, Kendra was the project coordinator for the Black maternal health projects at ETR, where she evaluated public health projects that centered the needs of Black women and families. Before that role, she worked at the Family Resource Center at the University of Pennsylvania, supporting, and advocating for students and post-doctoral fellows with children. Kendra was also a psychotherapist at a therapy practice that centers the LGBTQ community. Kendra is originally from Trinidad and Tobago, so she enjoys the Bay Area's year-round warm weather. Kendra is committed to building supportive spaces and advocating for members of the UCSF community who experience racial/ethnic discrimination and harassment.
