What is the current status of blood safety in francophone African countries

Dr Tayou has over 15 years’ experience in blood transfusion medicine throughout Africa with 6 years in managing Blood Safety projects.

Dr. Tayou, in addition to his professorship at the University of Yaoundé in Cameroon, is a consultant Hematologist at the University Teaching Hospital Blood bank and visiting lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine of Liege University (Belgium): Blood safety and availability in Sub-Saharan Africa.  Dr Tayou is also the country project coordinator for SBFA, that is strengthening Cameroonian Hospital Blood banks.
