What Black Panthers and Root-Seekers Can Tell us About Race, Medicine, and Justice

Drawing on more than a decade of historical and ethnographic research, this talk will explore the roles and strategies that lay citizens and communities have developed to highlight the relationships between race, medicine, and justice—from grassroots healthcare programs to attempts at racial reconciliation.
