Speakers:
Paula Fleisher, Associate Director for Research & Evaluation, and Education & Training, Center for Community Engagement (CCE). She has worked at UCSF for 15 years on School of Medicine research and education initiatives focused on health equity and the social determinants of health.
Roberto Vargas, Associate Director for Community Health Planning & Policy Development, and Economic Inclusion, CCE. Roberto participates in—and sometimes leads—multi-stakeholder health initiatives that provide opportunities for UCSF to leverage its research and science expertise and resources.
Tung Nguyen, MD, UCSF Professor of Medicine, A general internist with a panel of diverse patients, Dr. Nguyen teaches medical students and residents about medicine, health disparities, and community-based participatory research (CBPR).
Franklin Huang, MD/PhD, Asst. Professor, Dept. of Medicine, Dr. Huang is a physician-scientist and a member of the Genitourinary Oncology program at UCSF. He cares for prostate cancer patients at the San Francisco Veterans Affairs Medical Center and his laboratory is based at the UCSF Parnassus campus.
