DESCRIPTION:This event will help match UCSF faculty that have eligible gran
 ts for a diversity supplement with eligible trainees.\n\nUCSF is hosting a
  matchmaking event that will provide you with an opportunity to have short
 \, 10-minute interviews with trainees at the postbaccalaureate stage who a
 re interested in pursuing a career in research and qualify for funding thr
 ough the NIH Diversity Supplement mechanism.  Typically\, NIH Diversity Su
 pplements provide salary support for the trainee to work in your lab as a 
 Junior Specialist for 1-2 years. Trainees who make a match through the Mat
 chmaking Event will have the opportunity to apply to the UCSF PROPEL Progr
 am\, which is a new post-baccalaureate program. Faculty who have funding o
 ther then a diversity supplement to hire a student are also welcome to reg
