About this Event
Investments in health technology are booming, yet the patients who stand to gain the most from digital approaches to health care do not have equitable access to these tools. This issue of the digital divide is increasingly urgent especially in light of drastically widening disparities during the COVID-19 pandemic.
With growing awareness of health inequities and systemic racism we see a push for health equity across public and private sectors. There is widespread commitment to large-scale uptake and more equitable adoption of digital health tools; however, each group has historically focused on differing immediate priorities in their work. Moving forward, we must identify alignment to make progress.
The event will focus on building agreement around real barriers and discussing solutions to overcome them through cross-sector panels, action-oriented discussion, and networking opportunities. By shedding light on the strengths and challenges of different groups, we believe we can make real progress together to achieve digital health equity.
