Lessons from the Onset of Two Pandemics

1. Increase awareness of contributions that clinicians, including dermatologists, were able to make early in course of the HIV/AIDS and COVID-19 pandemics, facilitating our understanding of pathogenesis, prevention, and treatment of these infections.

2. Appreciate lessons learned from the HIV/AIDS and COVID-19 pandemics applicable to mitigating and navigating future ones.
