BTK and B Cells in Hidradenitis Suppurativa: Pathogenic Roles and Therapeutic Rationale for Targeted Inhibition

Anubhav N. Mathur M.D., PhD, Pediatric Dermatology, UCSF School of Medicine

Objectives:

1. Review the current understanding of HS pathophysiology
2. Review the biological functions of Bruton's Tyrosine Kinase (BTK) and its role in B cell signaling
3. Review the evidence supporting B cell and BTK involvement in HS
