Creating the Perfecting Scar: Early Interventions After Surgery

Objectives:
1. Discuss the natural course of wound healing after surgery and factors that contribute to unsatisfactory surgical scars
2. Review best practices and evidence for aftercare following surgery
3. Compare treatment modalities for early intervention in surgical scars including injectable medications and energy based devices
