 ues to transform the healthcare landscape\, it is essential to balance inn
 ovation with patient safety and ethical responsibility. This talk will int
 roduce an example of using AI for chest pain patient risk stratification a
 nd explore the challenges and opportunities of integrating AI in healthcar
 e\, focusing on the importance of patient safety\, the ethics of AI\, and 
 the limitations of emerging technologies. It will also address ethical gui
 delines and considerations that must be followed\, along with practical st
 rategies for the safe and responsible use of AI in healthcare. The aim is 
 to provide a comprehensive understanding of how to implement AI in ways th
 at benefit patients while maintaining safety and ethical integrity.\n\nAbo
 ut Nan Liu\, PhD\n\nDr. Nan Liu is the Director of the Duke-NUS AI + Medic
 al Sciences Initiative (DAISI) and the Co-Director of the SingHealth Duke-
 NUS AI in Medicine Institute (AIMI). He is also an Associate Professor at 
 the Centre for Quantitative Medicine and the Programme in Health Services 
 and Systems Research at Duke-NUS Medical School. Currently\, he leads the 
 Digital Medicine Labexternal site (opens in a new window). His research fo
 cuses on ethical and trustworthy artificial intelligence with applications
  in healthcare and medicine. Dr. Liu has received research grants from the
  National Medical Research Council and the National Research Foundation. H
 e was recognized as one of the world’s top 2% scientists by Stanford Uni
 versity and Elsevier. Dr. Liu has also served as an editor for many presti
 gious journals\, including NPJ Digital Medicine and PLOS Medicine.
