About this Event
The 5th Annual UCSF Addiction CME Conference aims to increase the core competency of medical teams in the inpatient and outpatient settings to improve care for patients who use drugs and alcohol. This conference will increase skills in diagnosis, assessment, and treatment of common substance use disorders through didactics taught by local addiction experts, as well as small group discussions to apply this knowledge to patient care. This is a Virtual Conference.

Nurse practitioners and Physician Associates (PAs)
This course is intended for Physicians, and Nurse practitioners and Physician Associates (PAs), and qualifies for 12.5 Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits.
DEA MATE Credits:
This CME/CE opportunity meets the Medication Access and Training Expansion (MATE) Act requirements from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) for Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) training on substance use disorders. Providers planning to receive or renew their DEA registration can earn 8.0 hours towards their one-time eight-hour MATE requirement by completing the entire activity.
ACCME Designation Statement: UCSF has approved this program for CME credit: UCSF designates this live activity for a maximum of 12.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
