University of California San Francisco Give to UCSF
Free Event

Join us for a conversation on the intersection of homelessness and health with UCSF professor Margot Kushel, MD, and adjunct professor Joshua Bamberger, MD, MPH. Look for the hashtag #HomelessnessChat on Twitter starting at noon on Monday, May 6.

We'll challenge some misconceptions about who experiences homelessness, discuss the realities of how and why some people find themselves without adequate housing, scrutinize current mitigation efforts, and discuss what can and should be done to help stem homelessness in San Francisco and beyond.

Kushel is the director and Bamberger is associate director of the newly announced UCSF Benioff Homelessness and Housing Initiative, a center that will conduct ground-breaking research on the root causes and identify evidence-based solutions to prevent and end homelessness.
