Please join the Women in Life Sciences RCO for "Title IX and Babies," a formal seminar with Mary Ann Mason, Professor of the Graduate School, UC Berkeley, and a Faculty Affiliate of the Berkeley Center for Law & Technology.
What effect does family formation have on an academic career from the graduate student and postdoc years through retirement? This twelve year research project (begun when Professor Mason was the Dean of the Graduate Division at Berkeley) offers data and interviews for each stage of the academic career – and presents work family balance best practices that make a difference.
Of interest to faculty, administrators, trainees, students and others pursing academic careers.
Light refreshments provided after the seminar.
This event is co-sponsored by the Office of Career and Professional Development.
A link for viewing the event via Class Capture will be provided later.
