The Shifting Borders of Academic Freedom: Diversity and Free Speech on Campus Today

Please RSVP for this event.

Presented by: Gamelyn F. Oduardo-Sierra. Gamelyn is a civil rights lawyer and Fellow for UC's National Center for Free Speech and Civic Engagement.

Concepts such as hate speech, safe spaces, micro-aggressions, gender inclusive pronouns and trigger warnings are not new to discussions on diversity in academic settings. The tenor of the times brings us back to these topics. Join us for a friendly discussion on free speech and diversity on campus.

Lunch will be provided.
