The Nocturnists collect and share stories about healthcare workers' experiences to compel, provoke, and demystify the practice of medicine via the award-winning medical storytelling podcastThe Nocturnists  have support from the ABIM Foundation to develop a documentary podcast series on the topic of “uncertainty in medicine,” in collaboration with Arts Practica. The project is currently in its research phase collecting perspectives about how, where, and why uncertainty arises in clinical encounters.

Bay Area physicians and patients are encouraged to participate. The workshop will be facilitated by The Nocturnists Creator and Host, Emily Silverman, MD and The Nocturnists Head of Story Development, Molly Rose Williams. There will be a discussion about uncertainty in medicine, practice basic storytelling skills, and participants will have the opportunity to share an uncertainty story with The Nocturnists team in a recorded format for possible inclusion in the podcast.
