  this intensive day of workshops for participants to accelerate progress t
 oward completion of a Teach for UCSF Certificate in Simulation Teaching\, 
 or complete an entire mini-certificate in one day. Read more about Teach f

 sions.\n\nThis all-day workshop is an integration of the core workshops th
 at are required for the Teach for UCSF Certificate in Simulation Teaching:
 \n\nPart 1\, Using Simulation in Medical Education: Why What and HowPart 2
 \, Using Simulation in Medical Education: Conducting and DebriefingLed by 
 :\n\nMindy Ju\, MD and Shruti Kant\, MBBS\n\nDuring this workshop\, partic
 ipants will learn about the learning theory behind simulation in health pr
 ofessional education\, and how to apply this theory to prepare and conduct
  effective simulation-based teaching. Following an introduction to learnin
 g theory and the characteristics of effective simulation\, participants wi
 ll work in small groups to create their own simulation scenarios using Ker
 n’s 6-step model for curriculum development in medical education. Partic
 ipants will then explore strategies to effectively conduct simulation sess
 ions and facilitate debriefing. Finally\, participants will have the oppor
 tunity to practice these strategies in small group exercises.\n\nAt the en

  is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Educati
 on to provide continuing medical education for physicians.\n\nUCSF designa
