Tina Young Poussaint, MD, FACR, is the Lionel W. Young Chair in Radiology at Boston Children’s Hospital and is a Professor of Radiology at the Harvard Medical School (HMS). She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Mount Holyoke College (magna cum laude) where she was elected to the Phi Beta Kappa Society. Dr. Poussaint received her medical degree, with honors from Yale University School of Medicine where she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. After an internship in Pediatrics at Yale-New Haven Hospital, Dr. Poussaint completed her residency in diagnostic radiology and fellowship in neuroradiology at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH). She was an attending neuroradiologist at MGH for four years, and then joined BCH as an attending neuroradiologist.
Dr. Poussaint is Principal Investigator (PI) and Director of the Neuroimaging Center (NIC) of the NIH-funded Pediatric Brain Tumor Consortium (PBTC) and is Director of BCH Neuro-Oncologic Imaging. She also serves as the Chair of the BCH Institutional Review Board (IRB) and is Director of the Pediatric Neuroradiology Fellowship. She is a past Vice-Chair of the HMS Faculty Council and has served on numerous hospital and medical school committees. Dr. Poussaint is a Fellow of the American College of Radiology (ACR). She is a Past-President of the American Society of Pediatric Neuroradiology (ASPNR) and a previous ASPNR Gold Medal recipient. She is the current President of the American Society of Neuroradiology (ASNR) 2021-2022.
