Finnish faculty presentation: Children and Health Systems in 11 European Countries

You are invited to join us for a bring-your-own lunch (drinks and cookies provided) presentation with Drs. Katja Joronen and Marja Kaunonen from the University of Tampere, Finland on Wednesday, January 16 from 12-1 in Room N527. Katja’s background is as a pediatric nurse and her research interests are children and adolescents and integrated services of children, young people and families. She has close collaborations with the National Institute for Health and Welfare, utilizing their nationally representative data on health promotion study and has done many studies in schools. Her work is of interest also to people involved in health systems and health policy. Katja will present findings from a collaborative and comparative study of 11 European countries and how each promotes children’s health, welfare, and growth through a number of public systems including schools.
