ne \n\nTitle: A Device to Secure and Sense Neonatal ECMO Cannulas\n\nKEDGE
is a solution to secure and sense cannulas in neonatal extracorporeal mem
brane oxygenation (ECMO). It is a two-pronged approach that involves (1) a
stabilization system that adheres to the skin and (2) a "cannula ring" th
at adheres to the cannula. Mechanistically\, the system depends upon the i
nterface between the stabilization system and cannula\, in order to detect
subtle displacements. We believe this technology has the potential to imp
rove the safety of neonatal ECMO\, decreasing risk of unintentional mispos
 itioning\, malfunctioning\, and decannulation.
