About this Event
35 Medical Center Way
Join us for our Stem Cell Genome Editing Series, which highlights advances in genome editing for stem cell biology and therapeutic development, aligning with our vision to Discover, Engineer, Heal. At our May 12 session, we will hear from speaker Seth Shipman, PhD, who will present "Bacterial Reverse Transcriptases for DNA Donor Generation."
The talk will cover the development of precise genome editing technologies that leverage components of a bacterial immune system, known as retrons, to generate editing templates in cells through reverse transcription. It will also highlight the therapeutic and research applications enabled by these new genome editors.
