About this Event
The Gladstone Data Science Training Program provides learning opportunities and hands-on workshops to improve your skills in bioinformatics and computational analysis. Gain new skills and get support with your questions and data. This program is co-sponsored by UCSF School of Medicine.
Gene set or pathway enrichment methods allow researchers to assign functional or mechanistic significance to results from high-throughput assays like RNA-sequencing. In this workshop, you’ll learn the theory behind some of these methods, and how to interpret the associated results.
Intermediate: This is an intermediate workshop in both the Biostats series and the Pathway Analysis series. The demo session will be conducted in R. The participants will be expected to have a basic understanding of statistics and experimental design, awareness of high-dimensional assays like RNA-seq, mass spectrometry, etc., and some familiarity with R code.
