Startup 101: Pitch Night

You are invited to join the UCSF Entrepreneurship Center at Startup 101 Pitch Night, the culmination of our core class for entrepreneurs. This experiential, team based, Silicon Valley style entrepreneurship course for UCSF scientists and clinicians is also open to Berkeley, Stanford and the life science/healthcare community. Our goal is to help create high potential, impactful and scalable ventures. Startup 101 alumni have been successful in starting companies and raising funding.

Teams learn how to create a business plan for their science- and technology-based ideas, aided by business and investor mentors.  The course exposes participants to essential business topics: opportunity recognition, customer discovery, business models, corporate legal, IP, clinical/regulatory, reimbursement, investment, business development, exits, team building, finance and pitching. Guest lecturers from the business and investment community share their expertise.

You will see the 10 best of 14 teams at Pitch Night, where they will present to investor judges.

Please come to the reception sponsored by Novartis Biome.
