Startup 101 is UCSF Entrepreneurship Center’s core class that is offered once a year in January and has given rise to many startups. Learn about our acclaimed course that teaches the basics of starting a life science/healthcare company. Find out if your idea has commercial potential, and if you have the entrepreneurial personality. This experiential, team-based class will cover the topics important to starting a scalable, for-profit venture, and includes many guest lecturers from Silicon Valley. Have an idea that you think might be material for a startup? Considering joining an entrepreneurial team? Working on a startup and would like business training? Looking to find team members or meet other entrepreneurs at UCSF? Considering alternative careers to scientific research/clinical practice? Curious about the Silicon Valley startup world? The class is designed for people who want to explore the entrepreneurial world either as a founder or team member.
