Speaker: Andrea Lollini, JD

Talk Title: Neurodiversity and the Law

 

Speaker Bio: Andrea Lollini is Adjunct Professor at UC Hastings College of Law and at the University of Bologna (Italy). He has been awarded a EU Marie Curie Global Fellowship (2015-2018) in support of his project: “Neurodiversity between Law and Science.” His interdisciplinary research aims to explore the intersection between Law and Science, with a particular interest in studying how fundamental rights are transformed by new developments in neurosciences. Andrea Lollini has had an extensive career in legal research with international organizations such as Institut des Hautes Etudes sur la Justice of Paris and The Hague Institute for the Internationalisation of Law. He has conducted research in different fields of comparative constitutional Law and Transitional Justice. His work in the ALBA lab and the Dyslexia center focuses on the“Language Based Learning Disability Prison Pilot Study.
