Dr Sud is an assistant clinical professor of pediatrics at UCSF. He serves as director of the UCSF Pediatrics Global Health Scholars Pathway, and is affiliated with Health, Equity, Action, & Leadership (HEAL) Fellowship.
Dr Sud completed his clinical training at UCSF in the Pediatric Leadership for the Underserved (PLUS) program and received the Resident Teaching Award. He served as Chief Resident at ZSFG. Dr Sud earned his medical degree with research honors from Tufts University, where he was inducted to Alpha Omega Alpha honor medical society and received the Sydney Gellis Award in Pediatrics. He holds a master’s degree in international affairs from Tufts Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy.
Over the past decade, Dr Sud has sought to understand and improve health at home and abroad. He conducted investigations into nutritional status of Guatemalans; evaluated the American public health response to chemical terrorism; trained Malawian clinicans in pediatric medicine; and uncovered the undue influence of trade rules on tobacco control.
