Scientific publishing has become essential to the dissemination of knowledge and is often seen as a key factor in determining career progression, both in academia and in industry. The landscape of scientific publishing has undergone substantial changes in the last decade, including the rise of open access, new peer review models, the creation of preprint servers, efforts to increase reproducibility, etc. We will discuss how to deal with this evolving panorama and how to maximize the chances of publishing high-quality science in selective journals.
