This 3 day workshop (via Zoom) will provide an opportunity for participants to work collaboratively and independently to improve their writing.  Note that the focus of this workshop is on scholarly writing in health professions education (e.g. writing about innovations in health professions education for students, residents, fellows, faculty; research on education topics; reviews of education topics; perspectives, commentaries as they relate to education).

Each day will include a combination of interactive presentations, application exercises, discussions, and independent writing time with options for consultations/feedback.

Anna Cianciolo from Southern Illinois University and the Editor-in-Chief of the journal Teaching and Learning in Medicine
Louise Aronson from UCSF, author of Elderhood: Redefining Aging, Transforming Medicine, and Reimaging Life
Bridget O'Brien from UCSF, associate editor at Academic Medicine
Author Panel sharing tips and strategies for scholarly writing.

In Your Registration: Please provide a brief description of the manuscript you plan to work on during the writing workshop. It can be a research paper, innovation description, commentary/perspective, or review paper (250 words max).

UCSF is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

UCSF designates this live activity for a maximum of 50 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
