University of California San Francisco Give to UCSF

Of over 850 UCSF survey respondents, 50% identified 'safer routes and bike lanes' as a key opportunity to improve biking and active travel to campus (UCSF Bicycle and Micromobility Plan).

What keeps more colleagues from bike commuting is most often concerns about safety. How can we create safer bike routes to and from Mission Bay campuses? Hear from Dogpatch/Potero Hill Safer Street Advocates Peter Beldon and Donovan Lacy.

We need to be constructing bike lanes for our colleagues who don't yet bike commute. To fight the climate crisis and boost public health, we need high-quality networks of bike lanes to enable millions of daily short journeys by active transportation.

Join us for a lively presentation and discussion on creating a high-quality connected bike network to/from the UCSF Mission Bay Campus. 17th Street, MinneSLOWta, and Illinois will fill key gaps in a citywide bike network.

Hosted by UCSF Transportation, UCSF Bikes!, and the Dogpatch Neighborhood Association Livable Streets Committee.

Stay up to date and support these bike-safe and street-smart campaigns:

  • https://safe-illinois.org/ - A gateway to some of the most important recreational facilities on the east side of the city: Crane Cove, Heron’s Head, Chase Center, Oracle Park, and the future Blue-Greenway.
  • Minneslowta.com is about connecting parks, UCSF, museums, businesses, and residents joining the protected bike lanes on 4th and 16th streets.
