Health inequalities in urban areas are exacerbated by incomplete data. Traditional face-to-face health surveys underperform in communities with high mobility, safety concerns, and language barriers. Digital tools, such as phone and SMS surveys offer potential solutions but need careful design for vulnerable groups. This presentation examines design considerations for digital health research, focusing on inclusivity, ethics, and data privacy through studies in Haiti, Chile, Kenya, and Nigeria. This presentation will discuss findings and provide strategies to overcome obstacles and enhance research inclusivity.
