About this Event
505 Parnassus Ave, San Francisco, CA 94143
Please join us on Wednesday, April 27th at 12pm in S168 for Race Talks, where we will discuss gentrification in SF by focusing on the impact of high rent and food insecurity.
In the last few years, San Francisco has skyrocketed to the top of the list of most expensive cities to live in. This ‘rise’ has not been embraced by all, as calls of gentrification have grown louder particularly from minority and low-income communities. As students, we are also a particularly vulnerable population when it comes to the issue of gentrification. Please join us to discuss how this issue may affect you and future students, and the role for UCSF in this crisis. We hope that students from all of the UCSF schools will be in attendance.
