QBI presents a seminar with Harold Pimentel, an Assistant Professor in Computational Medicine, Human Genetics, and Computer Science at UCLA. His group develops robust computational biology techniques to model experimental design and inference of many types of perturbation assays. He will discuss the process and intuition of building the hierarchical Bayesian model, Rosace, which utilizes knowledge about Deep Mutational Scanning data to improve statistical inference. He will also discuss related extensions.

Talk Title: Deep Mutational Scans, their inference, and how to help our neighbors

Host: Willow Coyote-Maestas
