Transform one-sided presentations into two-way conversations with your audience.

Join us at the next Learning Innovations Showcase on Thursday, February 13, 12-1pm. The topic for this month's showcase is Poll Everywhere, a web-based audience response system that lets you embed interactive activities directly into your presentation, and allows audiences to respond on the web or through text messaging. We will demonstrate live polls during the session, and hear from faculty and staff who are actively using the system at UCSF. Showcase speakers include Sam Chung, Instructional Designer from the School of Medicine, and Marieke Kruidering-Hall, PhD, Professor, from the Department of Cellular and Molecular Pharmacology.

Attend the showcase any of the following ways:

Parnassus Location (in-person): S161
Mission Bay Location (in-person): MH 1405
Via Zoom: http://tiny.ucsf.edu/showcase

This bi-monthly showcase is designed by and for the UCSF education community to create opportunities to explore innovative applications of technology in education. At the Learning Innovations Showcase, educators can come together and learn from their peers, share best practices, see demonstrations, and discover new technologies.

The Learning Innovations Showcase provides opportunities to:

  • Meet others in the community and find potential collaborators
  • Participate in hands-on activities
  • Attract funding, develop elevator pitches, get feedback from students and others
  • Share innovative use cases of existing tools - e.g. Zoom
  • Share experiments using newer tools for education - e.g. VR/AR, Raspberry Pi
  • Nurture ideas that could be proposed to CET for IT Roadmap funds

Look forward to more Learning Innovations Showcases, scheduled every quarter. The Learning Innovations Showcase is a collaboration between the IT Governance Committee on Education Technology (CET) and the UCSF Library.
