Pi Day at the Library

The UCSF Library Makers Lab and Data Science Initiative is celebrating Pi Day 2018 and you're invited!

Did you know that you can use an inexpensive Raspberry Pi or Arduino to measure and record heart rate, weight, pressure, and more? On Pi Day (3/14) we invite you to join us in the Makers Lab for hands-on demos of biometric sensors and programmable electronics. Come learn about these fun electronics, try them out, and help us brainstorm innovative health science applications. Beginners encouraged!

Drop in from 4-5pm for demos with biometric sensors and Raspberry Pi devices and an ArduinoFrom 5-6pm, we will conclude with a human pi recital contest and a slice (or two) of pizza pie. The pi contest grand prize will be a Raspberry Pi Zero kit!
