Parenting in the Age of Social Media

This talk is open to UCSF faculty, staff and students.

From cyberbullying to FOMO, social media can be a landmine for today's tweens and teens. Be the first to hear the key findings of Common Sense Media's groundbreaking 2018 follow up to their 2012 study, Social Media, Social Life. The presentation will be followed by a panel discussion about the impact of the research, how to recognize and support kids in need, ways to help kids use social media in healthy and productive ways and tips for promoting digital well-being in your own life.

Also available via live stream from myfamily.ucsf.edu. Registration is required.

Sponsored by the UCSF Committee on Family Services in collaboration with PREFundSupporting education, community building and advocacy for families in Potrero Hill.
