The CoVID pandemic and tripledemic in the past three years have laid bare previously shrouded health disparities, financial and social burdens, accusations, discrimination, racism, violence, and hate crimes in the Asian American communities across the nation. But adding to these, the recent mass killings in the Asian American community during the Lunar New Year have stunned the community further with a new wave of concerns, worries, anxieties, fears, and frustrations. We had invited Michael Liao of NICOS Health Coalition originally to speak on another topic for February’s town hall. But in light of the new chaos, sorrows, bewilderment, and turmoil felt broadly by the Asian American community, we wish to use the upcoming town hall to address our current state of mind and coping mechanisms, to help us understand the impact, and to bring us out of insanity and bring back a sense of balance in life. Fortunately, Michael has a broad level of expertise and will be able to help us to address stress, mental wellness, and coach us healthy coping mechanisms that we need right now. Please join us for this timely town hall.
