Nursing Career Ladder—"It’s Not a Job, It’s a Journey”

Growth and advancement of nursing practice is key for UCSF BCH Oakland. The Career Ladder is one way for clinical nurses to advance their career through validation of professional development, leadership, and education. Career Ladder is designed to engage our nurses in the support of the mission, to provide science-based, technologically precise, compassionately delivered patient care. The career ladder helps achieve multiple standards within the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Magnet Recognition Program for excellence in nursing services.
After participating in this educational event, the learner will be able to: Discuss the Clinical Ladder program and the steps involved in the application process. List the domains that are affected when nurses advance through a Clinical Ladder Program. Describe the benefits of having a Clinical Ladder for RN advancement in an organization. Identify strategies that drive evidence-based nursing practice. This is event will take place online and in-person in the OPC Auditorium.
