This hands-on Comprehensive Exam Prep Class focuses on practical tips and tricks to help you find scientific evidence more efficiently.

Instructor

Min-Lin Fang, Research and Education Librarian,  will guide you from Global search/Google Scholar to the best evidence available in PubMed, EMBASE, Joan Bridge Institute (JBI)  Evidence-Based database, CINAHL or Web of Science, depending on your topics.

You are welcome to send the instructor your search questions when you register this class.

IMPORTANT: Bring your COMP Examp topic.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this session, learners will be able to:

  • Use literature search tips to construct search strategies in PubMed, Google Scholar, Web of Science and other databases as appropriate for your topic.
  • Save search strategies to set up alerts
  • Save relevant articles permanently
