PhD students & postdocs: Need help writing your resume or CV for non-academic employment? Come and craft your document at the next OCPD Application Materials Clinic (AMCs) for PhDs.
In this interactive workshop, we'll teach you how to draft your document in a way that clearly shows why you're a top candidate. Attendees will also have opportunities to participate in activities that will help them critique and compose a better resume or CV.
By the end of this workshop you will be able to:
Explain the difference between a CV and resume, what you’ll be writing & why
Follow the three steps to organize and write a resume or CV like a pro
Organize, format and frame your document to better target opportunities that you're interested in

March is Consulting Month, so we'll target a few slides on tailoring your document for those type of positions, however, this workshop will serve PhDs and Postdocs who are looking at other non-academic careers.
