University of California San Francisco Give to UCSF

The UCSF Department of Neurosurgery is partnering with UCSF HealthLink for an exciting day of Neuroscience demos and experiences for children of Neurosurgery faculty, residents, and staff. HealthLink is a UCSF professional schools student organization that inspires and support high school students from local communities that are underrepresented in the health professions through mentorship, workshops and hands-on activities in the health sciences.

This year we will be offering neuroscience and neurophysiology workshops (anatomy, clinical cases, senses, reflexes etc), facilitated by UCSF Medical/Dental/Pharmacy students, as well as an OR demo, facilitated by UCSF Neurosurgery as well as Anesthesia faculty. It will be a one hour session on neuroanatomy, clinical cases, and neuro exam demo, plus an additional one hour hands-on demo in the OR with models and equipment.

If you have children (> six years old) who would be interested in joining, please RSVP by Friday November 22nd, 2019.
