University of California San Francisco Give to UCSF

Have you been treated for a brain tumor at UCSF and are now looking for a meaningful way to give back? Join our upcoming Peer Support Volunteer Training and learn how to use your lived experience and empathy to support others navigating the challenges of a brain tumor diagnosis.

During this interactive Zoom session, you’ll be introduced to UCSF’s Neuro-Oncology Peer Support Program and trained in essential listening and support skills to help fellow patients feel seen, heard, and less alone.

Please note: Participation in this 2-hour training does not commit you to becoming a peer volunteer. If you choose to move forward as a 2026 Peer Support Volunteer, you’re welcome to step away from the role at any time—your well-being always comes first.

Eligibility:

  • Must be at least one year post-diagnosis
  • Must be a UCSF neuro-oncology patient
  • Must complete application paperwork and sign a confidentiality agreement

Thanks for your interest in supporting others and joining our volunteer community of peers.  To register for one of the above trainings, go to: https://lp.constantcontactpages.com/sl/zP6RKYF/peertraining
