Elective course designed for first and second year medical students opent to the whole UCSF community. The November 7 presentation will be. The Mission and History of the Friendship House presentned by Leah Johnson and Atiuh Cervantes. The Friendship House is a native led organization founded in 1963 that serves American Indian communites, as well as others, who are recovering from substance use. The organization combines traditional healing pratices with evidence-baseed, trauma-responsive clinical services to serve their clients.

Leah and Atiuh are part of the Village team - working to raise funds for an expansion of the Friendship House that will allow the organization to expand services, including emergency and tranitional housing for Native women and mothers.
