Join the Faculty and Staff Assistance Program (FSAP) for a free 8-week mindfulness-based self-compassion course intended to increase self-awareness through a heart-centered approach. See the Course Flyer for details.

Through the lens of self-compassion this course will promote greater self-acceptance, an increased ability to endure difficult emotions, and provide self-soothing techniques during moments of inner chaos. Through practice, planting the seeds of mindfulness self-compassion can result in healing old self-defeating patterns such as self-criticism and blame. Over time, and with the support of a group, the subtler qualities of self-compassion, wisdom, and inner stability can emerge.

Free and open to all UCSF faculty, staff, residents, postdocs, and clinical fellows.

Please note: The 8-week course will be held at Parnassus on Thursdays (4 sessions) and Fridays (4 sessions). The full schedule will be announced at the introduction session.
