Vineet Arora, MD, MAPP is the Herbert T. Abelson Professor of Medicine at the University of Chicago Medicine. As Associate Chief Medical Officer for the Clinical Learning Environment, she bridges education and clinical leadership to engage trainees and staff into the institutional quality, safety, and value mission.  She is an elected member of the National Academy of Medicine whose work improving care and learning in teaching hospitals has been funded by NIH, AHRQ and the Macy Foundation, and has been cited over 10,000 times. 

Dr. Arora is an active voice on social media, has led R-01 research on how to use social media to empower minority youth to improve engagement in science and research, and is a social media editor for Journal of Hospital Medicine and started the #JHMChat.  She is a founder and leader of @IMPACT4HC, the Illinois Medical Professional Action Collaborative Team, which is a health professional advocacy group that amplifies science-based policy and education during the COVID19 pandemic.

Kirsten Bibbins-Domingo, PhD, MD, MAS is the Professor and Chair of the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics, and the Lee Goldman, MD Endowed Chair and Professor of Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco.   She is the inaugural Vice Dean for Population Health and Health Equity in the UCSF School of Medicine.  She co-founded the UCSF Center for Vulnerable Populations at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital that focuses on actionable research to increase health equity and reduce health disparities in at-risk communities.  She is one of the Principal Investigators for the UCSF Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute, and she leads the newly launched UCSF COVID Community Public Health Initiative.

Dr. Bibbins-Domingo is a general internist and cardiovascular epidemiologist whose scholarship includes observational epidemiology, pragmatic trials, and simulation modeling to examine clinical and public health approaches to prevention in the US and globally.  She previously served on and led the US Preventive Services Task Force from 2010-2017. She is an inducted member of the American Society for Clinical Investigation, the Association of American Physicians, and the National Academy of Medicine.

Robert M. Wachter, MD is Professor and Chair of the Department of Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco, where he also is the Holly Smith Distinguished Professor in Science and Medicine and the Benioff Endowed Chair in Hospital Medicine. The department leads the nation in NIH grants and is generally ranked as one of the nation’s best.

Wachter is author of 250 articles and 6 books and is a frequent contributor to the New York Times and Wall Street Journal. He coined the term “hospitalist” in 1996 and is often considered the “father” of the hospitalist field, the fastest growing specialty in the history of modern medicine. He is past president of the Society of Hospital Medicine and past chair of the American Board of Internal Medicine.

In the safety and quality arenas, he has written two books on the subject, including Understanding Patient Safety, the world’s top selling safety primer, now in its 3rd edition. In 2004, he received the John M. Eisenberg Award, the nation’s top honor in patient safety. Thirteen times, Modern Healthcare magazine has ranked him as one of the 50 most influential physician-executives in the U.S.; he was #1 on the list in 2015. His 2015 book, The Digital Doctor: Hope, Hype and Harm at the Dawn of Medicine’s Computer Age, was a New York Times science bestseller. In 2016, he chaired a blue-ribbon commission advising England’s National Health Service on its digital strategy.
