This month’s topic goes beyond 3D printing to discover new technology for visualizing anatomy using the LeiaLoft enabled mobile displays. Leveraging breakthroughs in nanotechnology design and manufacturing, its core technology originated from years of R&D at HP Labs and makes any display beautifully immersive through unparalleled depth, look-around, and realistic light effects.

Join us in the Makers Lab as we explore the state of 3D printing and visualization at UCSF and explore applications for education, research, and clinical care. Feel free to bring empty filament spools or failed PLA 3D prints that we can use to recycle into new filament.

Have questions about the Makers Lab? Visit the Makers Lab website or email us at makerslab@ucsf.edu with questions. This pop-up is open to the UCSF community.
