Livecyte Cell Imaging and Analysis System Lunch and Learn

Come learn about the Livecyte Cell Imaging and Analysis System via live webinar. A representative of Phase Focus Limited will be onsite to answer all your questions immediately after the webinar. Lunch will be provided.

About Livecyte Cell Imaging and Analysis System

Live cell imaging is becoming increasingly important in a range of biomedical research areas including cell biology, neurobiology, pharmacology, developmental biology, stem cell, and oncology research. Imaging live cells over longer periods of time to understand cellular behavior and dynamic processes is one of the biggest challenges facing researchers.

Traditional label-free systems often fail to automatically identify individual cells due to lack of contrast and while labeled techniques can produce high contrast images, they ultimately perturb the cells and can be phototoxic, which limits the type of cell that can be used and the duration that they can be imaged before measurement-induced cell behavior changes emerge.

In this workshop, you will learn about the Livecyte Kinetic Cytometer, which is the only instrument for live cell research that uses ptychography to capture images that measure the morphology and motion of cells, without the use of labels and at scale. Because of its low power laser it can mage cells for longer periods of time than fluorescent microscopy, eliminating photo-toxic effects to the cells. This is beneficial for all cell types but especially sensitive cells such as stem cells and primary cells.
