Assistant Professor, Department of Pediatrics, Division of Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine at the University of Washington

Acute lower respiratory illnesses (ALRI) are a leading cause of death in young children globally. We developed the ALRITE mobile app to assist frontline health workers in Uganda. Originally focused on ALRI, the app now covers other acute childhood illnesses in East Africa through a partnership with Global Strategies. This talk will explore the challenges and opportunities in developing, testing and implementing mobile health technologies in resource-limited settings, with an emphasis on digital clinical decision support. We will also share insights into our collaborative efforts and the impact on pediatric healthcare delivery.
